PIA wants to acknowledge the generosity of Professor Gaetano Cipolla, Director of Arba Sicula, a non-profit international organization that promotes the language and culture of Sicily through their publications, with a donation of copies of several of their various publications and a variety of books they have published for our 2025 Reunion.

 

Arba Sicula publishes and sends to members a biannual journal Arba Sicula (Sicilian Dawn) that focuses on the literature, art, history, cuisine and folklore of Sicily written both in Sicilian and in English, and SICILIA PARRA, a 20-page biannual newsletter, written primarily in English. LEGAS is their publishing arm that promotes books about Sicily and Sicilians in English and Sicilian.

 

I’ve been a member for over 20 years and have purchased several of their books. Those are listed under the Menu tab/Books.   Check out the link on their website https://arbasicula.org/  to try your hand at how well you know your Sicilian with audio.
